About me

Hello, my name is Roisin. I am a freelance art director in Scotland with industry experience in: branding, advertising & direct marketing, graphic design & illustration, logo design, branding and book & brochure design and all the stuff in between.

I am also a word-loving illustrator and digital artist.
I like to paint pictures with words and create art that tells stories.

My background is in graphic design and advertising, working at the award winning creative agency Story, in Edinburgh. Other work includes casting for productions such as Shetland, Katie Morag, Bob Servant and What We Did On Our Holidays (film). Creative assistant for illustrated books, scripts, art and a live tour for Dylan Moran (his review’s below, of course I’m posting it).

i also work with a freelance creative team for briefs that might need the best copywriting, functional web design, innovative social marketing, strategic press campaigns, beautiful photography and so on. A few of us first worked together 20 years ago, so we clearly love being with each other and draw on one another’s expertise.

Thanks for visiting the site.

"I was lucky to have Roisin work with me on presentation of stage shows, television scripts  and a series of small illustrated books. She is a real talent with terrific sense of style and discernment.

She has a rare combination of abilities - from script formatting and text editing to all kinds of visual work. Designing, art directing, compositing layouts - she does it all with élan and supreme efficiency.

Modest as she is  clever - in multiple directions - she is an all excellent person to work with, and good company to boot."

More about what I do

Tell people about who you are, your origin, your process, or your inspirations. Tap into your creativity. You’ve got this. The way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.
